Cherish the moments

Cherish the moments

Making that list
Checking it twice
Presents are great
And all wrapped nice
But things are overlooked
So will share this advice.

Clothes and Gadgets
Excessive spending
Falling to bad habits
Giant screen TV's
For the eyes to please
Hottest games for sale
Fresh off the market ...
Newest trends
Mercedes benz
Just parked it ...

Time spend with loved ones
Overlooked
Social media and society
Got us hooked
Spent spent spent
Latest fashion
Stores packed
Chain reaction

Wrapped up and stressed
Not enough time
The mind forgets
Loved ones have no price
For me is what's most admired
Best gift ever.
No wrapping required

Cherish the moments
Cherish the times
Cherish your family
As I'll cherish mines.
